I rented a small economy car for 100 for a week, at checkout at payless car rental the guy said he upgraded me free. When i went to the parking lot i had a mini van which i didnt need but i took it because my father was in the hospital and i was rushing to see him". I spend a week in Sebring, with the mini van parked under a carport and i only drove it 12 miles while in sebring/. When i returned it the guy said there was a dent on the tailgate but for me not to worry about it becaause it was probably turned in by someone before me?. I asked for the van to be brought to the front so i could take pictures but they said it was already being cleaned and the buss was ready to leave". the guy said they will contact me in 7 days if there is a problem". now 3 weeks later i get a debit against my credit card for $400+:. when i called they simply said you damaged our car/. I made some mistakes here, the biggest wwas renting from thesse crooks". Please save your money and dont make the same mistake i did... 12832eb

Through this entire process i was told to call Claims at Payless now renamed (***-for-less). Try it sometime and see what you get. A person on a answering machine will always greet you. My credit card company (USAA) are GREAT and they complained that these losers wouldn't return their calls. They were asking them for the Fleet utilization log and payless wouldnt provide.

Maybe since Im a retired Unites States military member they didnt like me.??? But they dont understand i wasnt the border patrol that chased them through the desert...:) I have learned a few things through this mess. Always us a credit card with damage protection from a GOOD company. Do not deal with these *** for brains people working at "*** for less". Go with your gut feeling, when i got off the buss i knew this wasnt a reputably company.

Drive by them sometime and throw some pennies out your windonw....a whole mess of them would probably be run over by traffic c hasing the pennies. Best of luck "*** for less" losers.

Oh, also my company has a very large convention going on soon in Orlando and guess what..yep they will not be reimbursed to rent your *** cars. So, i hope this cost you more than the $$ you tried to squeeze from me...

Ok, so amusing that there are idiots with no live, probably walking around with their thumb up their *** so far he cant see his elbow, posting smart *** responses such as the last response to my comments about punching wife in face. Whomever your lame *** is you sound just like one of those people who work for payless car rental... you almost sound like every *** that works there. Wow, get a life and a real job.

ok so I lied about having any pull at my janitorial company and they never used payless to begin with anyway. But I'm just so mad because I didn't read the contract that I signed. I was so mad at myself about not reading the rental agreement that I punched my wife in the face, twice. And really I was 2 hours late dropping the car off, so they were justified in charging me what they did.

I also looked up prices on renting a sports car from Hertz and it would have cost me over $1000 to rent one for a week. So I saved a ton of money by going with payless. In the future I will always use payless because I'm cheap. My kids don't mind seeing me punch their mother in the face a lot, so it's ok.

looking at my contract closer, while i had the car i called and extending for one day. that day cost me the same amount as the 6 day rental. Also when i returned the car they said i was 10 minutes late and charged a extra day rental. i arrived 20 minutes early, imagine that. Yes, they WERE a very cheap rental, until you find out i could have rental a nice sports car from a respectible company any would have cost me less.... ok, done complaining..

Nice...thank goodness for having a good credit card with rental insurance. I just called and filed a complaint. they said i am fully covered and they are very familiar with this company. I also work in investigations of a 25000 person company and plan on putting these crooks on the blacklist for being non reinbursable for renting with this company. This will cost these losers more than $400...enjoy
