Payless Car Rental in Lawrenceville, Georgia - Very RUDE and Disrepectful

I was at the Atlanta Airport last weekend on a Saturday at Payless Car Rental the Lady behind the Counter was so Rude and Disrespectful. I wanted to rent a Car she asked how long I said Two days she said 165$ didnt tell me what Kind of car or ASK if I had a Preference!and didnt even ask my name Just totally RUDE I said no thank U she Started Laughing I will never Use the Airport rentals Again Trying to get to the Counter and Parking was Terrible It was a A TOTAL NIGHTMARE Youve been WARNED!!

Buyer beware! Rental car companies make a lot of their money from selling upgrades and options coverages. There is nothing wrong with that. What is wrong is them "slipping in" extra coverages that you verbally declined [or making a mistake they won't admit to]...

Payless Car Rental in Los Angeles, California - Charged me for insurance($19.99/day)when I made it clear I did'nt want it.

Atlanta airport, rented the car for a week. Told the woman at the counter no way did I want the collision insurance. They have you sign the contract, "just initial these on the left". I made it clear again, no insurance. Quess what, I was exhausted from the early morning flight. I checked the box authorizing the insurance. I am contacting the attorney general. They charged me 119 dollars for something I insisted I did'nt want. This gal looked right at that contract as I initialed it and assured me I would'nt be charged for insurance. Then when I called them, some other woman told me I had initialed the contract, too bad.

Ripped by Payless Car rental and hanged up on by incompetent customer service reps!!!!!!!!

Payless Car Rental overcharged me for a car I had rented for a day! The car was old and had dents too and was certainly one of the worst cars I have ever rented. I asked for my bill when I returned the car and was told they would email it to me once they had processed the payment. No email was sent but when I checked my credit card account 4 days later, not only had they charged but they had overcharged me!!!!! I tried calling their office to find out why I had been overcharged and when I was going to receive the emailed bill, but the man who answered the phone claimed to be too busy and hanged up on me! Twice!!! I called again for the third time, they promised to call me back. I have been waiting for hours. I haven't heard from anyone!!!! PAYLESS CAR RENTAL ARE THUGS!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM! PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT RENT ANY CARS FROM THEM!

Payless Car Rental in Westwood, California - Payless -- avoid; no bargain

. The business model on which Payless operates became clear when we approached the desk: 1. Keep the already-exhausted customer waiting. After a long flight, wait for a shuttle, long shuttle ride and stand in line, keep him/her waiting even longer -- the better to reduce resistance to the abuses to come. . (see below) 1. Sell the upgrade, whether you actually have it available or not. 2. Don't mention them, but Pack in extra charges. $10/day for a spouse to be an added driver? No one else charges for that. "It's on the website." No, it is not -- but we're tired and have already waited so long to finish this business that you can take advantage--and you do. This time. 3. Once the credit card is swiped and the contract signed. . . . Let the customer wait and give her ***. At the car pickup point, six people wait in yet another Payless line while one, ONE pathetic employee tries to process returning cars and inspect and sign out new rentals. Cars are dirty and damaged, so people who thought they were exiting this *** are instead returning to document existing damage or complain about filth in the car. When we finally get to the head of this latest line, the "upgraded" car is not available. It is supposedly being washed and will be available in five minutes. After 15 minutes we demand the smaller car originally reserved--we have been in this nightmare Payless process for a full hour by now. The upgraded car suddenly appears. It is still soapy and has not been vacuumed; trash remains under the seats"”but we are tired and have a 2.5 hr drive ahead of us. We drive away. 4. Stick the customer one last time when the car is returned. Aside from the outrageous charge per gallon, call a hair short of a full-reading "1/4 empty." When I objected, it was checked again and adjusted to 1/8, but at $6.99/gal. Fine, get me out of here and let me never deal with this company again.

Payless Car Rental in San Francisco, California - Payless Rental Car at Burlingame Ca.

This people are good scam artist specially on there insurance, refuse for the insurance and still found out they bill me for it!!!! The manager is no help and try to put the blame on me of not complaining right away,If this people dont give my money back I'll start complaining to BBB and local news agency in my Place. Don't get there insurance or gas service because it's a scam too... They will tell you they have the cheapest gas price and you'll just gonna be surprise after you get your credit card statement!!!!! I'm giving this company 2 days to give my money back....

Another Payless car rental customer ripped off!

I had to listen to the agent in Denver try to *** me into an upgrade but refused and said I wasn't interested in any upgrades or anything else they had to offer. Soooo when he handed me the rental agreement to sign I looked at the bottom line (big mistake) and saw the correct amount so proceeded to initial all the areas he had circled. When I returned the car they wanted an extra $150.00 for something they said I had agreed to. I told them I hadn't agreed to anything extra. They said I had initialed it. Soo be sure you read the fine print because they are deceitful.

Payless car rental Orlando are crooks

I rented a small economy car for 100 for a week, at checkout at payless car rental the guy said he upgraded me free. When i went to the parking lot i had a mini van which i didnt need but i took it because my father was in the hospital and i was rushing to see him. I spend a week in Sebring, with the mini van parked under a carport and i only drove it 12 miles while in sebring. When i returned it the guy said there was a dent on the tailgate but for me not to worry about it becaause it was probably turned in by someone before me. I asked for the van to be brought to the front so i could take pictures but they said it was already being cleaned and the buss was ready to leave. the guy said they will contact me in 7 days if there is a problem. now 3 weeks later i get a debit against my credit card for $400+. when i called they simply said you damaged our car. I made some mistakes here, the biggest wwas renting from thesse crooks. Please save your money and dont make the same mistake i did...

Payless Car Rental in Columbus, Ohio - Payless Gouged Me for Repairs

I rented a minivan from Payless which died on me after a few days. I had to have another vehicle delivered and the minivan towed. Now they are saying the damage was my fault because I damaged the battery by using jumper cables incorrectly....WRONG!!! I never tried to jump start the van because 1) I had no jumper cables and 2) No one stopped to assist me so I didn't even have another vehicle to try to jump start from! They also tried to charge me $90.00 for an additional driver which had already been taken care of when I picked the van up initially. That didn't work but they have charged my debit card with $208.42 for the repairs and are basically saying I'm lying about damaging the van. I have contact Expedia, who set me up with Payless and strongly suggested they stop using them. I'm hoping Expedia will assist me with this because my bank doesn't dispute claims with car rental agencies for some reason - probably because they don't want to deal with the underhandedness.
