Payless Car Rental Complaint

This is what I received in my email upon complaining to Payless Car Rental San Juan PR. This was emailed to me without the manager ever contacting me regarding the matter. Very Unprofessional !! Dear Mr. Hussein, After reading your complaint and understanding the seriousness of your allegation I questioned not only Mr. Brian Ramirez but also another Sales Representative that was present at the time in which the situation took place. Mr. Ramirez in fact referred to your friend in Spanish. The proper way to reply back to a person is by doing it in the same language that the conversation is being conducted. Your friend was questioning Mr. Ramirez in Spanish, Mr. Ramirez did what he has been instructed to do, to reply back in the same language. Mr. Ramirez offered you the option of purchasing gas, this option is offered to all customers regardless to the time of the rental, once again, Mr. Ramirez did nothing but his job. Mr. Ramirez explained the benefits of pre-paying the fuel to which you disagreed, Mr. Ramirez removed the additional charge with out the need of threatening him. While interviewing both Agents, they coincided that you acted in a very aggressive verbal way, not only by insulting Mr. Ramirez but also by referring to our Island in a disparaging and disrespectful way without limiting the use of foul language. Mr. Ramirez’s Customer Service skills have always excelled our standards and we have never received a similar a complaint from others during the time that he has been working for this company. Mr. Ramirez’s position requires a lot of tolerance and respect to others, and we all agree that the situation could had been avoided by treating Mr. Ramirez with the respect that we all deserve regardless to our work position and/or nationality. Based on the above mentioned and the impeccable reputation that Mr. Ramirez has, I conclude that your allegation is unjust and not necessarily the facts. I have not been informed of your intention of discussing this situation with me; however I am willing to personally discuss the situation if you still understand that is necessary. Payless Car Rental San Juan PR

My complaint was regarding the rental procedure at the San Juan PR payless car rental location. Brian Ramirez was the representative who I dealt with upon renewing my contract. Mr. Ramirez was not only condescending and unprofessional, but also unethical. Mr. Ramirez for the most part spoke Spanish to my Hispanic friend who would translate whatever was said in English to me. To this I say, who is signing the contract and paying for the rental. So, if I am paying for the rental why can't Mr. Ramirez speak to me in English. I brougt this to his attention and he went off on a diatribe and insulted me even more. Also, he lied to me on two occasions. He slapped $56.00 on top of my car rental. I asked him how did he determine the amount, he said that I needed a full tank. But I had just rented the car the night before while the gas tank was full and I barely drove the next day. This was the first lie. I asked him to void the receipt, he said that that is not possible and gave me some lame excuse. I said to him that I will call the cops, and Mr. Ramirez right away agreed to void the receipt. As I am walking out of the store with my friend, he yells from the desk that I shouldn't forget to complain while there were customers present in the office. I have the called the office and spoke to a representative there and asked for the manager Alma Toro to contact me. It's been two weeks and I am still waiting for her call. Mr. Ramirez instigated something as a payless car rental representative that was totally avoidable. Such practices should not be allowed and such individuals should not be offered jobs where they have to deal with customers. Not only do they ruin ones trip but give company's bad name. I am waititng to hear from you.

Payless Car Rental rip-off

Never rent a new car from Payless. After being assured that minor scratches appearing on a new car rented from Payless Car Rental in San Francisco would not be charged against me, I agreed to take the brand new car as a rental. Upon returning the vehicle, there were minor scrapes under the bumper from normal road hazards. (Every other car in their lot had similar damage marks visible.) Three weeks after returning the vehicle, I received a bill for over $500. Since other cars in their lot had similar damage, it is evident they have no intention of even repairing the damage. This is outrageous. I will never return.

Payless Car Rental in Elmhurst, Illinois - Over charged car rent

My name is Bruce/Cindy Kim We went to Las Vegas for business & Family vacation for 5 days, Jan 7 to Jan 11. Payless car rental co. charged to us $608.24. originally we made reservation for mini van $23.19 per day total $164.30. unlimited mileage with Expedia. Cindy doesn't like this van to drive around the city then we made changed to cherokee jeep.We understand that the Cherokee jeep was higher rate. But $608.24 was so ridiculous. and the lady at the counter was not friendly at all. I didn't want to argue the woman. We appreciate very much if we get Expedia's discount. Truly yous Bruce/Cindy.

Payless Car Rental - Car hire in Canada - a warning

I hired a car in Canada recently from a company near Toronto Airport called Payless, I did this through Travelnow.com i was quoted an estimated TOTAL cost of $370.00 for 14 days . The actual cost was $1.077.13 , the added extras were tax (which I expected ) and insurance which was massive plus tax on it with a few extras which made no sense to me coming from Britain where you pay the original price quoted. There was a charge of over $300 because they had to shuttle people to and from the airport and had to pay the airport for this priviledge PLEASE AVOID HIRING A CAR AT THIS AIRPORT OR FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF
