I too was a recent victim of their illegal activities. I am contacting lawyers and would like to include contact information for anyone else who was a victim of Payless Car Rental's fraudulent and deceptive business practices.

This company needs to be held accountable. I have taken the usual steps: BBB, Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, but they have been reported multiple times and continue to act with impunity.

My personal issue is that I returned the car with a full tank of gas which was noted on the return rental receipt; thereby giving them tangible proof.

They are refusing to issue a refund unless I produce a paper receipt from the pump (which I never opt to receive). They have closed my ticket and cut off contact with me.

I would be willing to join a class action suit. Payless just charged me a daily admin fee for toll usage even though I only used the toll pass one time.

So for a 4 day rental with only one instance of toll pass usage, they charged me the same fee for every day I had the rental.

When I asked why, they said that’s their policy. I did read that on their website but they don’t explain the policy at the counter nor it is on the contract you sign.


How can I become a part of the class action law suit. Payless overcharged me 200.00. They outsourced their call center, and I'm not getting the proper customer service.

I was also taking advantage of, up graded my vehicl e for the same price as reserved with a signed contract and still they charged me for the upgrade, they put on the contract tank was full when in fact it only had an eighth of a tank in there. Count me in for a class action lawsuit, Mike from Michigan

I'm also a victim of such fraudulent act they removed 430 dollars from my account I don't know why and I only made one reservation, and one the way going to the airport to pick up the car they didn't allow me to take the car because they said they don't take prepaid debit cards, but when I made the reservation on the phone they debited my account for 430 dollars! So at the end of the day I didn't pick up a car and they stole my money. I'm willing to take a next step
